1 Introduction
Tejorder ("Tejorder", "we", "us") provides a cloud-based GST billing, invoicing, inventory and accounting application available at https://app.tejorder.com, through our installable / mobile app, and this website https://tejorder.com (together, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Two kinds of data. For your own account details, we decide how the data is used. For the data you enter about your customers and suppliers (names, phone numbers, addresses, GSTIN, invoices), you decide how it is used — we process it only on your behalf to provide the Service.
2 Information We Collect
a) Account information
- Your name and mobile number, used to create and log in to your account.
- Your login PIN — stored only in an encrypted / hashed form. Our staff cannot read your PIN.
- Role and access details of users you add to your business.
b) Business information
- Business name, logo, address, branches, godowns, GSTIN and state.
- Bank account, UPI ID and cash account details that you choose to show on invoices or use for recording payments.
c) Transaction data you enter
- Sales invoices, purchase bills, payments, items, stock, batches, serial numbers, charges, terms and notes.
- Details of your parties (customers and suppliers) such as name, phone, email, address and GSTIN.
d) Information from this website
- Details you submit through the contact form, such as your name, phone number, email and message.
e) Technical and usage data
- IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time of access, and error logs.
- Essential cookies that keep you logged in (see Cookies).
f) Payment information
If you buy a plan or bill credits, payments are processed by our payment partners. We receive only the payment status and reference — we do not store your card details, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials.
3 How We Use Your Information
- To create and secure your account and let you log in.
- To provide the Service — generate invoices, calculate GST, maintain stock, ledgers and reports.
- To create invoice links and help you share invoices on WhatsApp, SMS or email when you choose to share them.
- To process subscriptions and bill credits.
- To reply to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and fix errors.
- To send important service messages, such as security alerts or changes to our policies.
- To comply with legal obligations and lawful requests from authorities.
We use aggregated, anonymised statistics to improve the Service. These do not identify you or your business.
4 Consent & Legal Basis
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account or contact us, and for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as complying with law.
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (see Contact). Withdrawal does not affect processing already done, and some features may stop working because they need that data.
6 Shared Invoice Links
When you share an invoice, we create a secure link containing a long random code. Anyone who has the link can view that invoice without logging in. The link shows only that single invoice — it does not give access to your account or any other data.
Share invoice links only with the intended recipient. If a link was shared by mistake, contact us and we will help you disable it.
Shared invoice pages are marked so that search engines do not index them.
7 Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, except where we must keep it longer by law or to resolve disputes. Backup copies are removed on their normal backup cycle.
Your GST record-keeping duty: GST law requires businesses to keep accounts and records for several years. Please export and keep your records before deleting your account — after deletion we cannot recover them.
8 Data Security
- All data travels over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- PINs are stored only in encrypted / hashed form.
- Every business's data is kept separate, and each request is checked so one business cannot see another's data.
- Access to production systems is limited to authorised staff.
- We take regular backups.
No system is 100% secure. Please keep your PIN secret, do not leave your device unattended while logged in, and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. If a personal data breach happens, we will inform you and the authorities as required by law.
9 Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access — get a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data. Most details can be edited directly in the app.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (see below).
- Nomination — nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
If the data belongs to your customer or supplier, they should contact you first, because you control that data. We will help you respond.
10 Children
The Service is meant for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
12 Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored on secure servers operated by our hosting providers. If any data is processed outside India, we will do so only as permitted under Indian law and with appropriate safeguards.
13 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes we will notify you in the app or by message before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated policy.
14 Grievance Officer & Contact
For any question, request or complaint about your data, contact our Grievance Officer. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
