Short answer
  • Put a phone, tablet, laptop or smart TV with a camera on your counter and open TejOrder Virtual Try-On in the browser. No app or special hardware is needed.
  • The customer holds the garment beside them in front of the camera. The photo is taken automatically and the AI shows them wearing it, usually in under a minute.
  • The result carries your shop name and can be sent to the customer on WhatsApp.
  • One try-on uses one credit. If the AI cannot make the image, the credit is returned. Customer photos are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

What is AI Virtual Try-On for a shop?

Virtual Try-On is a screen at your counter that works like a trial room. Instead of going into a trial room for every piece, the customer holds the garment, the camera takes a photo, and the AI creates a picture of the customer wearing it. It helps the customer decide faster, saves time on busy days and works for garments that are hard to try, like sarees, sherwanis and lehengas.

What you need

  • A device with a camera and a web browser: phone, tablet, laptop or smart TV. A bigger screen looks better for customers.
  • A stable internet connection.
  • A free TejOrder account. You do not have to buy the TejOrder billing software.
  • Try-On credits: new accounts get 100 free try-ons to test, then you can buy a Try-On plan.
  • A spot with good light and some free space in front of the camera, so the customer can stand back.

One-time setup (about 10 minutes)

  1. Create your free account Sign up on app.tejorder.com and add your business and branch.
  2. Turn on the Garment style Open Business → Software Style and tick Garment for the branch where the Try-On screen will be. The Virtual Try-On menu then appears in the sidebar.
  3. Add a machine for each counter screen Go to Virtual Try-On → Machines → Add Machine. Each machine has its own plan and credits, so two counters never share or mix up credits.
  4. Open the Try-On screen on the counter device Log in on the counter device, open Virtual Try-On → Try-On and pick the machine at the top. Allow camera access when the browser asks.
  5. Show only the garments you sell Shirt, T-Shirt, Kurta, Saree, Top, Pant, Jacket, Blazer, Sherwani and Lehenga are supported. Switch off the types your shop does not sell.
One machine works on one device at a time. If you open the same machine on another device, the first device is logged out automatically. This keeps one machine's credits on one screen.

Using it with a customer

  1. Choose Male, Female or Kids Use the buttons at the top of the Try-On screen.
  2. Tap the garment type For example Shirt or Saree. The camera opens by itself.
  3. Customer stands and holds the garment Standing straight, with the garment beside them on a hanger or in the hand, fully visible. The photo is taken automatically after a short countdown.
  4. See the result The AI picture of the customer wearing the garment is usually ready in under a minute.
  5. Send it on WhatsApp Enter the customer's number to send the picture with your shop name. Many customers share it with family before buying.

Tips for good results

  • Good, even light on the customer. A dark corner or strong light from behind gives poor photos.
  • Stand back so the body is in the frame, not only the face.
  • Hold the garment open and fully visible, not folded, and do not cover the face with it.
  • Only one person in front of the camera, and keep still during the countdown.
  • A plain wall behind the customer helps the AI.
If the photo is too dark, blurry, too close, or the garment is not clear, the screen asks to take it again. A try-on that fails does not use a credit.

Honest limits

  • The result is an AI preview of the look. It does not show exact fit or size, so the customer should still check the size.
  • Colour and fine work like heavy embroidery or a detailed border can look slightly different from the real garment.
  • Sarees and lehengas with long dupattas are harder for AI. Check the result before sending it.
  • It needs internet. Without a connection the try-on cannot be made.

Customer photos and privacy

Photos are used only to make the try-on and are deleted automatically within 24 hours. Tell customers this when you start; it makes them comfortable using the screen.
